What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
MARKLAND LANE, ELMTON

WHEN: 12 August to 14 August 2026
WHERE: Markland Lane, Elmton from a point 55m northeast of the Jct. with Main Road for a distance of 30m in a north easterly direction.
REASON: To facilitate new electricity service connection works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Markland Lane, Hollin Hill Road, A616 Sheffield Road, Hazelmere Road, Wood Lane, The Green, Main Road, Markland Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
