ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF BUCKTON GATE, BUCKTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
part of Buckton Gate, Buckton from its junction with
B1229 Main Street heading south onto Bempton Lane
then east onto Short Lane then north onto Newsham
Hill Lane commencing 18 August 2026 at 08.00 hours
until 20 August 2026 at 17.00 hours to install ducting
and chambers for the new BDUK fibre network on
behalf of Quickline Communications for part Buckton
Gate, Buckton. The road closure is necessary to enable
the works to be carried out in a manner consistent
with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is
valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works
will be completed within three days. The alternative
route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via
Buckton Gate heading south onto Bempton Lane then
east onto Short Lane then north onto Newsham Hill
Lane and B1229 Main Street, Bempton CP, Bridlington
Central and Old Town Ward. The diversion route
will be signed at the time of closure. The road will
be closed to all through traffic but access will be
maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and
pedestrians. Further information can be obtained
