What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
SOMERSALL LANE, SOMERSALL
WHEN: 10 August to 06 September 2026
WHERE: Somersall Lane, Somersall from a point 40m north of the River Hipper bridge for a distance of 100m in a southerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate telecommunication diversionary works and tree / footbridge works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Somersall Lane, A619 Chatsworth Road, A632 Walton Road / Matlock Road, Acorn Ridge, Walton Back Lane, Somersall Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
