(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Bridleway indicated below:-
Part of Bridleway BW0308015 Bowland Forest High, Ribble Valley, from the junction with Bridleway BW0308008 Bowland Forest High at point A (SD 6567 5089) crossing Holme Head Footbridge over the River Dunsop to point B (SD 6571 5083) at the junction with FP0308016 Bowland Forest High, a total distance of approximately 82 metres.
The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the bridleway.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the bridleway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the bridleway, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in this order shall apply to emergency service vehicles, public rights of way officers of the County Council on foot or to those undertaking the works.
The Order will be operative from the 18th July, 2026, for a period of 2 months or until the works are completed within this period.
