(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF LIMITED WAITITNG) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF TAXI STAND) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITITNG) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. During the period stated in article 3. of this order, the existing limited waiting prohibition on Brock Street, Lancaster from a point 12 metres east of the centreline of Penny Street for a distance of 31 metres in an easterly direction will be temporarily suspended.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Monday 3rd August 2026 until 1800 hours on Wednesday 5th August 2026 or until completion of the works within this period.
AND FURTHER, during the period of the temporary suspension the existing taxi stand on Brock Street, Lancaster from a point 12 metres east of the centreline of Penny Street for a distance of 31 metres in an easterly direction will be temporarily suspended.
AND FURTHER, during the period of the temporary suspension on Brock Street, Lancaster all motor vehicles and cycles will be temporarily prohibited from waiting on that length of Brock Street, Lancaster from a point 12 metres east of the centreline of Penny Street for a distance of 31 metres in an easterly direction.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow excavation onto BT ducts for the clearance of duct blockages in footway to facilitate spine cabling works to be carried out.
