What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(WATERLOO ROAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the
Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting
vehicles from proceeding on Waterloo Road from outside
property number 6 to outside property number 3.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 3 August 2026 until 6 August 2026,
between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00.
The diversion route is: Darlington Street, Chapel Ash Island,
Ring Road St Andrews and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate a new gas connection to
property number 6 in the footway and carriageway, by AIM
Utilities.
