The following public notices were served on Thursday 23rd July 2026:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders under Section 14(1) and 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, FOOTPATH WAVENDON 7 AND BRIDLEWAY WAVENDON BW6 AND REDWAY WV05, WAVENDON GATE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2423)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following lengths of road, redway, footpath and bridleway whilst Milton Keynes City Council undertake utility works:
3rd August 2026 – 31st March 2027
Bletcham Way, Wavendon Gate – From Tongwell Street to Gregories Drive
Gregories Drive, Wavendon Gate – from Bletcham Way to Byrd Crescent
Britten Grove, Wavendon Gate – from Bletcham Way to Byrd Crescent
Byrd Crescent, Wavendon Gate – Its entire length.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Tongwell Street and Britten Grove or Tongwell Street, Fyfield Barrow and Gregories Drive (and vice versa).
3rd August 2026 – 3rd February 2027
Footpath Wavendon 7 – Its entire length
Bridleway Wavendon BW6 – Its entire length
Redway WV05, Wavendon – from Ravel Close to Gregories Drive
The alternative routes will be signed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the TSRGD 2016.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCI (MULLEN AVENUE, DOWNS BARN) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2457)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following length of road whilst Openreach undertake ducting works:
Mullen Avenue, Downs Barn – from Clydesdale Place to Pellham Place
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Clydesdale Place, Downs Barn Boulevard and Pellham Place (and vice versa).
The road closure will be in effect from 3rd – 6th August 2026 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (DELAWARE DRIVE (PART), TONGWELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2452)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following length of road whilst Cornerstone Telecoms undertake works:
Delaware Drive, Tongwell – from Dansteed Way to the entrance to Volkswagen Financial Services
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Dansteed Way and Brickhill Street (and vice versa).
The road closure will be in effect on 5th August 2026 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

It is anticipated that the following restrictions will be in effect on the dates and times shown below and when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs:
To temporarily close the following lengths of road from
9:00am 31st July, 1st and 2nd August 2026 – 3:00am 1st, 2nd and 3rd August 2026
9:00am 7th and 8th August 2026 – 3:00am 8th and 9th August 2026
9:00am 22nd August 2026 – 3:00am 23rd August 2026

10:00am 22nd August 2026 – 3:00am 23rd August 2026
Davy Avenue, Knowlhill – From its junction with Harrison Close to its junction with Chaffron Way
Favell Drive, Furzton – From its junction with Barleycroft to its junction with Watling Street
To temporarily close the following lengths of Bridleway from
00:01am 31st July, 1st and 2nd August 2026 – 3:00am 1st, 2nd and 3rd August 2026
00:01am 7th and 8th August 2026 – 3:00am 8th and 9th August 2026
00:01am 22nd August 2026 – 3:00am 23rd August 2026
Bridleway 32, Loughton - From its junction with Chaffron Way to its junction with Spring Rose Way.
To temporarily restrict the speed limit to 20mph on the following lengths of roads
Watling Street (V4) between Childs Way and Standing Way.
Chaffron Way (H7) between Fulmer Street and Grafton Street.
Davy Avenue, Knowlhill (its entire length)
Chesney Wold, Bleak Hall (its entire length)
Grafton Street between Childs Way and Standing Way.
Childs Way between Grafton Street and Fulmer Street.
Fulmer Street between Childs Way and Standing Way.
Standing Way between Fulmer Street and Grafton Street.
To temporarily restrict the speed limit to 40mph on the following lengths of roads
Watling Street (V4) between Childs Way and Standing Way.
Chaffron Way (H7) between Fulmer Street and Grafton Street.
Grafton Street between Childs Way and Standing Way.
Childs Way between Grafton Street and Fulmer Street.
Fulmer Street between Childs Way and Standing Way.
Standing Way between Fulmer Street and Grafton Street.
Whilst the above event is taking place there will be a one-way system in operation on the following length of road – Chesney Wold, Bleak Hall.
Temporary parking restrictions will be in place on the following roads and their verges between
00:01am 31st July, 1st and 2nd August 2026 – 3:00am 1st, 2nd and 3rd August 2026
00:01am 7th and 8th August 2026 – 3:00am 8th and 9th August 2026
00:01am 22nd August 2026 – 3:00am 23rd August 2026

V4 Watling Street from its junction with H6 Childs Way to its junction with H10 Bletcham Way
H6 Childs Way from its junction with V3 Fulmer Street to its junction with V6 Grafton Street.
H7 Chaffron Way from its junction with V3 Fulmer Street to its junction with V6 Grafton Street.
V6 Grafton Street from its junction with H6 Childs Way to its junction with H8 Standing Way
H8 Standing Way from its junction with V3 Fulmer Street to its junction with V6 Grafton Street

The Council is satisfied that the temporary closure Order is necessary in the interest of public safety. The temporary Order shall come into operation at 00:01am on 31st July 2026.

The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following length of road whilst Openreach undertake ducting works:
Translands Brigg, Heelands – outside numbers 51 to 88.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Glovers Lane and Gibson Green (and vice versa).
The road closure will be in effect from 27th – 29th July 2026 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HIGHFIELD CLOSE, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2426)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following length of road whilst Openreach undertake ducting works:
Highfield Close, Bletchley – outside numbers 168 to 170.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route.
The road closure will be in effect from 27th - 29th July 2026 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WALNUT TREE ROUNDABOUT, WALNUT TREE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
(Reference TTRO-2446)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following length of road whilst O2 undertake works:
Walnut Tree Roundabout – between its northern and southern islands and its inner ring (preventing east to west travel and vice versa).
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Tongwell Street or Groveway.
The road closure will be in effect from 28th July – 3rd August 2026 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
