AMENDMENT TO PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS TO FACILITATE THE INSTALLATION OF VEHICLE CROSSINGS
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth, on 20 July 2026, made The Lambeth (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. 76) Order 2026 and The Lambeth (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 83) Order 2026 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Charged-For Parking Places Order will be to revoke a length of residents parking places in certain lengths of the streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
3. The general effect of the Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions Order will be to further amend the Lambeth (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) Order 2023 so that:
(a) waiting by vehicles (otherwise for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) will be prohibited at the times specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice;
(b) the sale or offer for sale of goods from a vehicle will be prohibited unless there is in force a valid licence issued by the Lambeth Brough Council or the goods are immediately taken into or delivered at premises adjacent to the vehicle from which the sale is effected.
4. A copy of each of the Orders, which will come into operation on 3 August 2026 of a map of the relevant area and of the relevant Orders of 2023 (and of the Orders which have amended those Orders) can be viewed online at: https://streets.appyway.com/lambeth or inspected at the offices of Lambeth Council’s Parking and Enforcement Group (Parking, Network Management & Fleet), 3rd Floor, Civic Centre, 6 Brixton Hill, London SW2 1EG, between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive (except on bank/public holidays). 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
