Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 22 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ashcombe Road (C44) Dorking as extends from its junction with (C132) Ranmore Road and for a distance of 30 metres in a easterly direction along Ashcombe Road. Alternative Route: Ranmore Road, (A2003) Chalkpit Lane, and Ashcombe Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate link box replacement works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Cotton Row (D279) Holmbury St Mary and Snower Hill Road (C57) Betchworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 22 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Cotton Row (D279) Holmbury St Mary as extends from its junction with (B2127) Ockley Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Floris Tickle”. Alternative Route: (B2127) Ockley Road, (B2126) Holmbury Lane, and Cotton Row, or this route in reverse; (b) Snower Hill Road (C57) Betchworth as extends 20 metres south of the entrance to the property known as “Sunny Cottage” and for a further distance of 20 metres north of the access to the property known as “Sunny Cottage”. Alternative Route: Snowerhill Road, The Street, Old Reigate Road, Station Road, (A25) Reigate Road, Brockham Lane, Middle Street, Leigh Road, Shellwood Road, Bunce Common Road, Tapners Road, and Snowerhill Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Morrison Telecom Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. For part (a) Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. For part (b) Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, all other vehicular traffic including emergency service vehicles will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

Harriotts Lane (D2584) Ashtead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2026

On 22 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to; (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Harriotts Lane (D2584) Ashtead as extends from its junction with (D2507) Barnett Wood Lane to its junction with (D2584) Chantrey Close; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Harriotts Lane (D2584) Ashtead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025” in its entirety. Alternative Route: Barnett Wood Lane, West Farm Avenue, Ottaways Lane and Harriotts Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate clearing blockages, and tree felling works for, or on behalf of Circet UK. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation that commences on 03 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Netherne Lane (D1155) Netherne On The Hill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 22 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Netherne Lane (D1155) Netherne On The Hill as extends from its junction with (D1155) Blue Leaves Avenue and for a distance of 45 Metres in a southerly direction along Netherne Lane. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains connection works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 23.59pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if required, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. There is no alternative route for this closure.

Woodland Way (D1442) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

On 22 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Woodland Way (D1442) Caterham as extends from its junction with (D1441) War Coppice Road and for a distance of 44 metres in a northerly direction along Woodland Way; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2026” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: Weald Way and Coppice Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Honeypot Lane (C92) Edenbridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 22 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Honeypot Lane (C92) Edenbridge as extends from its junction with (C85) Dwelly Lane to its junction with (D431) Grants Lane. Alternative Route: Dwelly Lane, Haxted Road, Lingfield Road, Crouch House Road, Little Browns Lane, and Honeypot Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

How Lane (D1080) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2026

On 17 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of How Lane (D1080) Chipstead as extends from its junction with Coulsdon Lane (C136) to its junction with Yew Tree Close (D1080); and 2. suspend “The Surrey County Council How Lane (D1080) Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” and “The Surrey County Council How Lane (D1080) Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2026” insofar as they relate to the length of road described in 1.

Alternative route – How Lane, Hollymead Road and Coulsdon Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole testing and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 6 August 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Clay Lane (D381) South Nutfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of Clay Lane (D381) South Nutfield as extends from its junction with (D355) Kings Mill Lane to its junction with (D382) Hogtrough Lane; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Clay lane (D381) South Nutfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” and “The Surrey County Council Clay Lane (D381) South Nutfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 in their entirety. Alternative Route: Hogtrough Lane, Bower Hill Lane, and Kings Cross Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate tree felling works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 nights, between the hours of 1.35am and 4am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Hollow Lane (C91) Dormansland
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Hollow Lane (C91) Dormansland as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.135 and No.137 Hollow Lane to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.01 and No.02 St Clair Cottages, Hollow Lane. Alternative Route: Hollow Lane, High Street, New Farthingdale, and Hollow Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Pollards Oak Crescent (D472) Hurst Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Pollards Oak Crescent (D472) Hurst Green as extends from its junction with (D472) Pollards Oak Road to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.64 and No.62 Pollards Oak Crescent. Alternative Route: Pollards Oak Crescent and Pollards Oak Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate electrical utility works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Rosemary Lane (D349) Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting Loading and Unloading Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit waiting, at any time, by vehicles on both sides of roads that length of Rosemary Lane (D349) Horley as extends from its junction with (B2036) Balcombe Road south-westward for a distance of approximately 55 metres; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Reigate and Banstead) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting Loading and Unloading and Revocation) Order 2013” insofar as it affects that length of road specified and described in paragraph (a) above. This Temporary Order is required to facilitate mains electrical works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by or on behalf of UK Power Networks. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 17 August 2026. This temporary restriction which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).

Southlands Lane (D421) Oxted
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Southlands Lane (D421) Oxted as extends from its junction with (C84) Broadham Green Road and (C84) Gibbs Brook Lane south-westwards for a distance of approximately 300 metres. Alternative Route – Broadham Green Road; Hall Hill; Beadles Lane; A25 Godstone Road; Tandridge Lane; and Southlands Lane or this same route in reverse. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 19 August 2026 is required to facilitate new mains electrical connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of UK Power Networks within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 5 weeks between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents with then closure area, and the emergency services at all times via steel plates. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

High Street (B269) Limpsfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of High Street (B269) Limpsfield as extends from its junction with Hookwood Park (X45026) to the access road north of the The Bull Inn.

Alternative route – B260 (High Street), A26 (Westerham Road), B2025 (Detilliens Lane) and B260 (High Street), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 August 2026 for 2 days between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

C89 Crawley Down Road, Felbridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 22 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C89 Crawley Down Road, Felbridge that extends from its junction with Mortain Road, westwards for 50m. Alternative route: – Tuners Hill Road, Snow Road, Copthorne Road, Sandy Lane, Hophurst Lane and Felbridge Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable Power On to carry out HV electrical connections and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 2 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each, day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
