St Pauls Cray - Temporary Waiting Restrictions Due To Construction Works

Public Notice - Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 As Amended – Section 14 (1) (C) - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic Mickleham St, Pauls Cray Within The London Borough Of Bromley

Notice Of Intention

1. The Council of The London Borough of Bromley HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that in order to allow safe traffic movements for deliveries and construction traffic into the HILL PARTNERSHIPS LIMITED new building development at the former Bell Grove 100 Mickleham Road worksite THEY INTEND to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following restrictions on vehicular traffic: -

Temporary double yellow line parking restriction will be installed at Mickleham Road from the junction of Chipfield Road to the junction of Scadbury Gardens for approx. 125m on both sides of the street. The temporary parking restriction will allow TfL to relocate their bus stop C (titled bus stop Goose Green Close) and still maintain a bus stop for residents in Mickleham Road.

All partial footway / carriageway parking bays on Mickleham Road between the junctions of Chipfield Road and Scadbury Gardens will be temporarily removed during works.

The temporary double yellow line parking restriction will be in place from Monday 10th August 2026 for up to 18 months and the restriction will be in effect continuously throughout the works (24 hours a day, seven days a week).

Waiting Vehicles
No person shall, until the works are completed, cause or permit any vehicle to stop at Mickleham Road, St Pauls Cray between the junctions of Chipfield Road and Scadbury Gardens for approx. 125m on both sides of the street from Monday 10th August 2026 for up to 18 months (24 hours a day, seven days a week).

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction on waiting imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986, or by the Council in accordance with the powers conferred upon it.

2. THE Order will come into effect on Monday 10th August 2026 with no specified finish date.

3. NOTHING in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or direction of a Police Officer in uniform or Civil Enforcement Officer.

4. THE restriction referred to in this Order shall not apply to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. ACCESS to properties will be maintained at all times. Emergency access and egress routes will be maintained at all times. Pedestrian access will be available at all times during the works.

6. ALTHOUGH the Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months, it is expected restriction will be in place for up to 18 months and will begin on or after the commencement date of the Order.

7. THE prohibitions referred to in paragraph 1 above shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
