ROUNDABOUT, BEDFORDSHIRE TO

LITTLE BRICKHILL INTERCHANGE,

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE) LAY-BYS (TEMPORARY

PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has made an Order on the A5 Trunk Road in the Counties of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire to enable nearby thirdparty drainage clearance and repairs and chamber installation works to the existing telecoms network to be carried out in safety. The works will take place, in phases, over approximately 4 weeks (8pm to 6am) starting  on or after Monday 3 August 2026.

The effect of the Order will be to close, all laybys adjacent to the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A5 from Thorn Roundabout to Little Brickhill Interchange.

The temporary lay-by closures (which will not apply to emergency service or works vehicles) will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

The Order will come into force on 27 July 2026 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months whichever is the earlier.
