RAISED SPEED PLATFORM AND PUFFIN CROSSING

TAKE NOTICE that Torfaen County Borough Council in exercise of their powers under section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 and section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”), as amended, and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police, propose to introduce a raised speed platform and Puffin Crossing, as outlined within Schedules 1 and 2 of this Notice.

SCHEDULE 1

Raised speed platform 35 metres south-west of its junction with Coedcae Road.

Description:

TYPE A: Bituminous Macadam raised speed platform to be 4 metres long, 6 metres wide, 100mm high and approached ramps to be 1.5 metres.

SCHEDULE 2

Puffin Crossing 37 metres south-west of its junction with Coedcae Road.

A copy of a plan showing the affected lengths of road and Statement of the Council’s reasons for the proposals is available to view online via:

Objections to the proposals should be sent in writing specifying the grounds upon which they are made to Torfaen County Borough Council, Resources Department, Legal Section, Civic Centre, Pontypool NP4 6YB or by email to:

traffic.orders.legal@torfaen.gov.uk

and must be received by 12 August 2026, quoting the reference “Middle Coedcae”.

HYSBYSIR trwy hyn fod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Torfaen, wrth arfer ei bwerau o dan adran 90A Deddf Priffyrdd 1980 ac adran 23 Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (cyfeirir at wedi hyn fel “y Ddeddf”), fel y’i diwygiwyd, a phob pwer galluogi arall ac ar ôl ymgynghoriad gyda Phrif Swyddog yr Heddlu, yn bwriadu cyflwyno platfform cyflymder Wedi’i godi a Chroesfan Pâl, fel amlinellir hynny yn Atodlenni 1 a 2 yr Hysbysiad hwn.
