What is happening?

THE WEST LOTHIAN COUNCIL 

(Ladywell East Road crossing Houstoun Road, Ladywell / Knightsridge area of Livingston) 
(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025 - TTO/TM. 378.2026/2026 

The Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that the road noted in the Schedule below will be closed for the period specified to enable Replacement of bridge joints on Moss Interchange Bridge and surfacing patching on the bridge works to be carried out. 

Traffic will be diverted as undernoted. Pedestrians will be unaffected. Further information is available from the Roads Manager on 01506 280000.

SCHEDULE - ROAD CLOSURE
Location: Ladywell East Road crossing Houstoun Road, Ladywell / Knightsridge area of Livingston 

Dates and Times: 3/8/2026 at 00:01 until 14/8/2026 AT 23:59 

Diverstion Route: Traffic travelling southbound - directed west along Knightsridge East Road to Moss Interchange where they will join Houstoun Road (Eastbound). They will then do a U-turn around the roundabout and travel westbound on Houstoun Road and take the slip road at Moss Interchange onto Ladywell East Road. End of diversion. 

Traffic travelling northbound - directed west along Ladywell East Road to Moss Interchange where they will join Houstoun Road (Westbound). They will then do a U-turn around the Eliburn North roundabout and travel eastbound on Houstoun Road and take the slip road at Moss Interchange onto Knightsridge East Road. End of diversion. As there is no footpath for pedestrians leading up to the bridge there is no need for pedestrian diversions.
