THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) 

(STOCKTON LANE, DAWLISH)
ORDER 2026 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC &
PARKING

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order.
From 24/8/26 for a maximum of 18 months.
Anticipated Finish 9/9/26.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed or wait on the
sections of Affected Roads. Roads affected: STOCKTON LANE, DAWLISH. The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - CLOCKWISE – PARK ROAD, HATCHER STREET, STOCKTON ROAD. ANTI CLOCKWISE – STOCKTON ROAD, LUSCOMBE TERRACE, PARK ROAD.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: GAS MAINS
REPLACEMENT WORKS.

Roads affected: NEW ROAD, TEIGNMOUTH. The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - NEW ROAD, A379, B3192, NEW ROAD & VICE VERSA.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: PATCHING WORKS. INCLUDES PARKING SUSPENSION ALONG BOTH SIDES OF NEW ROAD SITE WILL BE OPEN OVER THE BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - ROAD FROM BRANDIRON CROSS TO LEIGH CROSS, ROAD FROM LEIGH CROSS TO KNOWLE CROSS, B3193, ROAD FROM BEKHAMS TREE CROSS TO THREE CORNER PLANTATION, BECKHAMSTREE HILL, ROAD FROM MARDON CROSS TO MOOR BARTON, ROAD FROM MARDON CROSS TO BULLATON CROSS, ROAD FROM BULLATON CROSS TO POOLMILL CROSS, ROAD PAST MOOR HOUSE FARM, ROAD FROM BEADON CROSS TO CHERICOMBE HEAD, BELL LANE, ROAD FROM PALK ARMS TO BUTT PARK, ROAD FROM LOWER TOWN FARM TO BRANDIRON CROSS, ROAD FROM BRANDIRON CROSS TO LEIGH CROSS & VICE VERSA.
