(TEMPORARY CLOSURE NO. 2) ORDER 2026

On 21 July 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged in the works, and those vehicles requiring access to properties or land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on that section of Stirling Drive, Bishopbriggs between its junction with Devon Gardens, Bishopbriggs and its junction with Southesk Avenue, Bishopbriggs by reason of works being executed on or near this road.

This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Monday, 03 August 2026 and remain in operation until 23.59 hours on Sunday, 16 August 2026. Alternative Routes

The alternative routes will be by way of Devon Gardens, Muirton Drive, Stirling Drive, Faskally Avenue, Stirling Drive, Southesk Avenue, and Broadleys Avenue, Bishopbriggs, and these routes will be sign posted.

PROPOSED WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS

East Dunbartonshire Council propose to consider the introduction of a traffic regulation order introducing waiting and loading restrictions on the north side of Park Road, Bishopbriggs, as shown on the schedule below between the hours of 8.30am and 9.30am, and the hours of 2.30pm and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

together with a plan and statement of reasons for proposing to make this Order, are available for inspection without payment of fee on the Traffic Regulation Orders page of the East Dunbartonshire Council website and at:-

(i) Bishopbriggs Library and Hub, 170 Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs, G64 2LX (Mon-Thu 10am to 8pm; Fri-Sat 10am to 5pm). Any person wishing to object to the proposal or make any representations on the proposal must send details of the grounds  for objection in writing by email to TROconsultation@eastdunbarton. gov.uk or by post to Legal Services, East Dunbartonshire Council,  12 Strathkelvin Place, Kirkintilloch, G66 1TJ by no later than Friday, 21 August 2026.
