Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Long Lane, Fowlmere as lies between B1368 & Mill Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Shepreth Rd; A10; Shepreth Rd, Foxton; High St; Fowlmere Rd; Green Ln, Fowlmere; B1368 & vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gully cleaning & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 15/10 & 17/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Sidgwick Avenue, Cambridge as lies between Grange Road & A1134. The alternative route for vehicles is via Grange Rd; A603; A1134 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway reconstruction, drainage, signage & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 31/8 & 31/12/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Bateson Road, Cambridge – Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic & Garden Walk, Cambridge – Temporary Revocation of One-Way Traffic Order Order 2026-20890

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bateson Road, Cambridge as lies between Stretten Avenue & Garden Walk. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993; Schedule 16 No entry Part 2: Roads & parts of roads to which entry except for pedal cycles is prohibited at the locations & from the directions stated, Garden Walk at its junction with Victoria Road from all directions is hereby suspended. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993; Schedule 19 Limited access Part 1 roads & parts of roads subject to limited access at any time for all days, Column 1: Bateson Road Column 2: 141 a,b,c,d, Column 3: 142 m (this is basically limiting access to all vehicles apart from bicycles unless they are accessing properties, delivery goods or services or the emergency services) is hereby suspended. The alternative route for vehicles is via Bateson Rd; Garden Walk; A1134; Harvey Goodwin Ave; Stretten Ave & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 4/8 & 5/8/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2026-20904

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane as lies between Campkin Road & Ramsden Square. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No.32) Order 2003, 5. The Order of 1993 shall be amended & have effect as though the following additions were made to Schedule 23 Part 2: King’s Hedges Road, On its northeast side from its junction with Cambridge Regional College entrance to a point 44 metres northeast of the centreline of Milton Road is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 09:30 hrs & 15:30hrs 10/8 to 11/8/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation.

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge are in progress. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Newmarket Road A1134, Cambridge Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane – Order 2026-20906

Will be to temporarily suspend the bus lane as lies between Garlic Row & Swann Road. During the period this Order remains in force CCC (Various Streets, Cambridge) (Bus Lanes) Order 2024;

Schedule – Roads & parts of roads on which any vehicle other than a pedal cycle, electric scooter, bus hackney carriage or private hire vehicle is prohibited at all times on all days Newmarket Road – On its north side from a point 65 metres northeast of its junction with River Lane to a point 30 metres northeast of its junction with Garlic Row is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate communication pipe repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 24/8 & 28/8/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation.

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Milton Road A1309, Cambridge Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane & Cycle Lane – Order 2026-20910

Will be to temporarily suspend the bus lane as lies between underpass & Lovell Road. During the period this Order remains in force the CCC (Various Streets, Cambridge), (Bus Lanes) Order 2024; Roads & parts or roads on which any vehicle other than a pedal cycle, electric scooter, bus, hackney carriage or private hire vehicle is prohibited at all times on all days, Milton Road on the north-west side from a point 15 metres south-west of its junction with Lovell Road to a point 30 metres south-west of its junction with the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway is hereby suspended. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area C (Consolidation) Order 1993; Schedule 23 Part 2 Mandatory with flow cycle lane, Milton Road the northwestern side from its junction with King’s Hedges Road to a point 175 metres south of the access to the Science Park is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate cabling & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway.

It is anticipated that these works will take place between 10/8 & 21/8/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

It is anticipated that these works will take place between 5/8 & 11/8/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, West Wratting as lies between B1052 & The Causeway. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1052; West Wickham Rd, Balsham; Balsham Rd, West Wickham; High Street Southern Spur; High St; Burton End; Burton End, West Wratting; The Common; High St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate S278 & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 3/8 & 14/8/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Is to stop any vehicle from turning left & right from High Street, Linton into Meadow Lane, Linton. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage improvement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway It is anticipated that these works will take place between 3/8 & 28/8/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Various Roads, South Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20724

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate gas main replacement & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 24/8/26 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 23/2/28 whichever is the earlier.
