PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO 9 (PART) LONGSDON PARISH
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024

On 5 November 2024 Staffordshire County Council certified the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A (2) of the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981.

The effect of the order as certified is to divert the full width of that part of Public Footpath No 9 Longsdon commencing at Grid Reference 394768 355288 and running north-westerly then west-north-westerly and west-south-westerly for some 105 metres to Grid Reference 394682 355286 to a line commencing at Grid Reference 394794 355226 and running north-north-westerly for some 128 metres to Grid Reference 394682 355286. 

It will also modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the Borough of Staffordshire Moorlands accordingly.

A Copy of the Order as certified and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at the offices of Staffordshire County Council, Corporate Reception, 1 Staffordshire Place, Stafford, ST16 2LP Mon-Fri. 8.30 am to 5.00 pm. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at the price of 10p per A4 page; £2 per map.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBTION OF TRAFFIC

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 31/3/26 made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of:

A53 Leek Rd, Stockton Brook. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the works (which were due to take place on 5/4/26) have been delayed and are now due to start on 26/7/26. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB148743205. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 26/7/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the reinstatement replacement works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier. 

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 7/7/26 made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of:

Adderley, Cheadle. Due to unforeseen circumstances the works (which were due to take place on 15/7/26) have been delayed and are now due to start on 15/9/26. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB149946689. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 15/9/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the manhole repair works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 16/7/26 made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:

The Order will come into operation on 27/7/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 27/7/26.

The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the frame and cover works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 28/7/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 28/7/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the pole testing and tree cutting works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier. 

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 21/7/26 made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of:

St Annes Vale, Brown Edge. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB150852169. The Order will come into operation on 27/7/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 29/7/26. 

The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the sluice valve renewal works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 28/7/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 31/7/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the pipe installation works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Stanley Rd, Stanley Bk, Puddy Ln & Tompkin Rd, Stanley. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB150288803. The Order will come into operation on 23/7/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 30/7/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the cabling, gully sucking and pole testing works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 28/7/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 28/7/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the frame and cover works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 29/7/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 31/7/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the boundary box installation works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of:

The Order will come into operation on 11/8/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 11/8/26. The Order will come into operation on 10/8/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 11/8/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the new clean water connection works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 12/8/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 12/8/26. The Order will come into operation on 10/8/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 16/10/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the property repair works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Staffordshire County Council propose to make a Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to no waiting at any time on High Street, Leek. Documents may be examined during opening hours at Staffordshire Place 1, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and at Leek Library, Stockwell Street, Leek, ST13 6DW or via https://consultation.appyway.com/staffordshire-moorlands.
