What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Ashill Temporary Closure of Wood Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Wood Road - from the junction with Old A358, southwards for a total distance of 741 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Internet to carry out fibre cable installation works.

The Order becomes effective on 5th August 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 10th August 2026 and last until 14th August 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.
