What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Closworth Temporary Closure of Closworth Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Closworth Road - from the junction with Weston Lane to the junction with Dorchester Road. A total distance of 791 metres. This Order will enable National Grid to carry out overhead electrical refurbishment and pole replacement works.
The Order becomes effective on 22nd July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 27th July 2026 and last until 29th July 2026 between the hours of 09:00 - 16:00 for a total of 3 days.
