TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order:
ORDER NO. MCC 151435880: The City of Manchester (Seymour Road South, Clayton & Openshaw Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Seymour Road South. The alternative routes for traffic will be: North Road, Ashton New Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate planned works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 1st August 2026 to 2nd August 2026. The order shall come into operation on 1st August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC 151491116: The City of Manchester (Sussex Street, Marsden Street & Brown Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & No Waiting No Loading) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Sussex Street from Kent Street to Marsden Street, On Marsden Street from Pall Mall to Brown Street & on Brown Street from Marsden Street to Norfolk Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Kent Street, Pall Mall, Marsden Street, Brown Street, Norfolk Street, Sussex Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Window replacements for the Core. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 3rd August 2026 to 23rd August 2026. The order shall come into operation on 3rd August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
