TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Orders:
ORDER NO. MCC 151409079 : The City of Manchester (Radium Street, Jersey Street, Naval Street, Ancoats & Beswick Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) No Time Limit Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to 1. Prohibit Vehicular Traffic on Radium Street, Jersey Street, Naval Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: 1. George Leigh Street, Radium Street. 2. Radium Street, New Union Street, New Islington, Woodward Street, Butler Street. 2. Temporary No Waiting/No Loading- From Naval Street/ Radium Street for a distance of 20 Meters The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Phoenix Ironworks Development. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 31st July 2026 to 31st December 2028. The order shall come into operation on 31st July 2026 until such time that it is revoked. ORDER NO. MCC 151435880: The City of Manchester (Seymour Road South, Clayton & Openshaw Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Seymour Road South. The alternative routes for traffic will be: North Road, Ashton New Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate planned works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 1st August 2026 to 2nd August 2026. The order shall come into operation on 1st August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
