What is happening?
Salford City Council proposes to make the CITY OF SALFORD (BOWKER STREET, CHAPELFIELD DRIVE AND HILTON LANE, WALKDEN SOUTH) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to introduce the following: NO WAITING AT ANY TIME: Bowker Street, both sides, from its junction with the south-easterly extended kerbline of Hilton Lane for 10m south-easterly. Chapelfield Drive, both sides, from its junction with the south-easterly extended kerbline of Hilton Lane for 10m south-easterly. Hilton Lane, (i) east side, from the north-eastern extended kerbline of Bowker Street for 10m north-easterly, (ii) east side, from the south-western extended kerbline of Bowker Street for 10m south-westerly, (iii) east side, from the south-western extended kerbline of Chapelfield Drive for 10m south-westerly. A copy of the proposed Order, the Statement of Reasons, and a plan showing the proposals can be requested by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or examined in person at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
