TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 151433961: The City of Manchester (Baguley Resurfacing, Baguley Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Avebury Road, Beckfield Road, Firbank Road, Longcroft Grove, Warton Drive and Whitehouse Drive. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate footway reconstruction works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 3rd August 2026 to the 13th November 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 3rd August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 23rd July 2026.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Ruabon Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Didsbury Park, Wilmslow Road, Parrs Wood Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate footway reconstruction works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 3rd August 2026 to the 4th September 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 3rd August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
