What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The Hammersmith and Fulham (Broomhouse Lane (Prescribed Routes) Order 2026

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham made the abovementioned Order under the powers granted by sections 6, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order, which comes into operation on 29th July 2026, will be to introduce a banned left-turn restriction on Broomhouse Lane for vehicles exiting the Hurlingham Club at a point opposite the junction with Daisy Lane.

3. A copy of the Orders, the Councils statement of reasons for making the Orders and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, can be inspected, by requesting copies in writing until the end of a period of 6 weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made, or as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders.

4. Parking Services, The Place Department, Town Hall Extension, King Street, Hammersmith, W6 9JU or via email to Traffic.Orders@lbhf.gov.uk.

5. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of the provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
