What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF UNCLEBY HILL, UNCLEBY

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
part of Uncleby Hill, Uncleby from its junction with
North Leys Access Road and Top House Access Road
commencing 18 August 2026 at 08.00 hours until
25 August 2026 at 17.00 hours to install ducting and
chambers for the new BDUK fibre network on behalf
of Quickline Communications for part of Uncleby Hill,
Uncleby. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for
18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within eight days. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the road closure will be via Uncleby
Road, Howe Lane, Painsthorpe Lane, Roman Road and
Uncleby Hill, Kirby Underdale CP, Wolds Weighton
Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through
traffic but access will be maintained for residents,
emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
