NOTICE OF A PUBLIC PATH ORDER

WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

CREATION OF PUBLIC FOOTPATHS aT CARoWAY GREEN, GOOSNARGH
PUBLIC PATH CREATION ORDER 2026

The above Order, made on 6th May 2026, under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980, will create a public footpath running from a point on Chingle Hall Crescent, north of no.37 ('C' on the attached Plan), to the turning head of Chingle Hall Crescent ('X'), turning generally north to the southern end of the bridge over the small stream near the north-west corner of the housing estate ('D') as shown on the Order Map.

Also running from the NW corner of the pasture to the north of the Caraway Green housing estate, immediately south of the field boundary ('H'), running generally east, along the north edge of the pasture via the end of the access track ('L') and through a field gate in the NE corner of the pasture ('P') then along the south edge of a second pasture to meet Mill Lane ('Q') opposite bridleway BW0605020, as shown on the Order Plan.

Also, running from the southern end of the access track to Cross House ('L'), through a kissing gate and generally N along the enclosed access track to a point SE of Cross House Farm ('K') as shown on the Order Map.

The Order will amend the Definitive Map and Statement for the County of Lancashire accordingly.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at my offices from 9am to 5pm on weekdays. Copies of the Order and Map may be bought there at the price of £1.00.

Any representations about, or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, PO Box 100, County Hall, Preston, PR1 0LD (REF: LSG4/FJ4/ 104043) not later than Wednesday 19th August 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Lancashire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
