What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (RUFFORD AVENUE AND WATSON AVENUE, MANSFIELD) (AMENDMENTS TO RESIDENTS’ CONTROLLED ZONE) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026 (2289)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, Traffic Management Act 2004, as amended, and The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Nottinghamshire) Designation Order 2008 (SI 2008 No. 1086), as amended, the effects of which will be in respect of roads at Mansfield in the Mansfield District:
1. Proposed prohibition of Waiting At Any Time along the following lengths of road:
RUFFORD AVENUE, MANSFIELD (the north-east side)
From its junction with Watson Avenue in a north-westerly direction for 10 metres
From a point 21 metres north-west of its junction with Watson Avenue in a north-westerly direction for 7 metres.
WATSON AVENUE, MANSFIELD (the north-east side)
From a point 17 metres south-east of its junction with Terrace Road in a south-easterly direction for 13 metres.
WATSON AVENUE, MANSFIELD (the north-west side)
From its junction with Bath Lane to a point 33 metres north-east of that junction.
From a point 41 metres north-east of its junction with Rufford Avenue in a north-easterly direction for 10 metres.
From a point 60 metres north-east of its junction with Rufford Avenue in a north-easterly direction for 8 metres.
From a point 75 metres north-east of its junction with Rufford Avenue in a north-easterly then north-westerly direction to its junction with Terrace Road.
2. To provide Residents’ Parking Places Only Parking Mon – Sat
RUFFORD AVENUE, MANSFIELD (the north-east side)
From a point 10 metres north-west of its junction with Watson Avenue in a north-westerly direction for 11 metres
From a point 28 metres north-west of its junction with Watson Avenue in a north-westerly direction for 8 metres.
WATSON AVENUE, MANSFIELD (the north-west side)
From a point 33 metres north-east of its junction with Rufford Avenue in a north-easterly direction for 8 metres.
From a point 51 metres north-east of its junction with Rufford Avenue in a north-easterly direction for 9 metres.
From a point 68 metres north-east of its junction with Rufford Avenue in a north-easterly direction for 7 metres.
3. To provide 1 Hour Parking, No return within 1 Hour Mon – Sat
RUFFORD AVENUE, MANSFIELD (the north-east side)
From a point 4 metres south-east of its junction with Terrace Road in a south-easterly direction for 25 metres.
