What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(AVONDALE ROAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Avondale Road
from outside property 47 to its junction with Allen Road.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 3 August 2026 until 6 August 2026.
The diversion route is: Riches Street, Allen Road and vice
versa.
The Order is required to facilitate works for a new gas
service by Cadent Gas.
