NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026
BRIDLEWAY 183 BRENTWOOD IN THE BOROUGH OF BRENTWOOD

The above order, made on 03 June 2026, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert a part length of Bridleway 183 Brentwood, commencing from a point at grid reference 55874,18864 Postcode CM13 3JT north of the Southend Arterial Road and south west of Codham Hall, proceeding in a northwestward direction through a storage compound to a point outside its north western corner fencing, to an alternative route commencing from the aforementioned point south west of Codham Hall, proceeding west south-westward adjacent to and outside the storage compound fencing to the eastern side of Codham Hall Wood, where it continues northward adjacent to the wood to the aforementioned point north west of the storage compound fencing connecting to the unaffected part of Bridleway 183 Brentwood, as shown on the order map.

The document can be made available for inspection from 8:30am-4:30pm Mon-Fri at Essex County Council, County Hall, E block main reception, Market Road, Chelmsford CM1 1QH.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to Andrew Ritchings, Definitive Map Service, Essex County Council, Seax House, 2nd Floor, Victoria Road South, Chelmsford CM1 1QH no later than 20 August 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Essex County Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If an order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent together with the order. Any such representations or objections will be taken into account by the Council with the result that they may be made available to the public under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985.

(Church Road, Kelvedon Hatch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Kelvedon Hatch in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 135m south west of its junction with Church Close for a distance of approximately 535m in a south westerly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th August 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC00820AUGEAYPF752 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Church Road, Ongar Road, Kelvedon Hall Lane, Kelvedon Hall Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 29th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mill Lane, Stondon Massey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Lane, Stondon Massey in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Ongar Road for a distance of approximately 45m in a north easterly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th August 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410282713 – Affinity Water Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Mill Lane, The Street, Chelmsford Road, High Ongar Road Straightening, High Ongar Road, Four Wantz Roundabout, High Street, Coopers Hill, Brentwood Road, Stondon Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 29th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Pine Drive, Ingatestone) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pine Drive, Ingatestone in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 45m north west of its junction with Pine Close for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th August 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7031001513370 – Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.

An alternative route is available via High Street, Park Drive, Pine Close and vice versa (with access only into Pine Drive).

The Order will come into effect on 29th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Wyatts Green Road, Doddinghurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wyatts Green Road, Doddinghurst in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Thoby Lane for a distance of approximately 215m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th August 2026 for 1 day or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WGSFJ07XSB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Mountnessing Road, Ingatestone Road, The Green, Nine Ashes Road, Ongar Road, Tipps Cross Lane, Hook End Lane, Hook End Road, Mill Lane, Wyatts Green Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 29th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Alexander Lane/Oliver Road, Shenfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Alexander Lane, Shenfield in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 75m north of its junction with Shenfield Gardens for a distance of approximately 75m in a north easterly direction.

2. To temporarily close that length of Oliver Road, Shenfield in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Alexander Lane for a distance of 20m in a north easterly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 3rd August 2026 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (R5001AEN169/TRI/ X990-02/R5001AEN169/TRI/X990-03 – Advanced Electricity Networks Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Advanced Electricity Networks Limited.

An alternative route is available via Rayleigh Road, Hutton Road, Chelmsford Road and vice versa (with access only into Alexander Lane and Oliver Road).

The Order came into effect on 15th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Fryerning Lane, Ingatestone) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fryerning Lane, Ingatestone in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with High Street to its junction with Haslers Court a distance of approximately 40m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd August 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2406247 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bollard installation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Pemberton Avenue, The Furlongs, High Street and vice versa (with access only into Fryerning Lane).

The Order came into effect on 15th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Little Highwood Way, Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Little Highwood Way, Brentwood in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Henman Way to its junction with Cleves Avenue, a distance of approximately 35m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd August 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (MU11301155290-00000002 – Thames Water Utilities). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cover replacement works are undertaken by Thames Water Utilities.

No alternative route is available.

The Order came into effect on 15th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
