Violet Hill, Mansfield - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving For Gas Mains Replacement Works

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(VIOLET HILL, MANSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (M26-122)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Mansfield in the District of Mansfield The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:

2. Violet Hill, Mansfield - From its junction with Eakring Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 160 metres.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 07:30 hours on Monday 3rd August 2026
Until 18:00 hours on Friday 21st August 2026 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

A617 Pump Hollow Road - A617 Old Mill Lane - A60 Leeming Lane South - A60 Woodhouse Road - B6033 St Peters Way - A6191 Ratclife Gate - A6191 Rock Hill - A6191 Southwell Road West - A6117 Oak Tree Lane and Vice versa 

The Order will come into force on 3rd August 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Cadent to carry out works Gas Mains Replacement works.
