Honiton Avenue - Temporary Road Closure Due To Installation & Connection Works
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN
(HONITON AVENUE, BLACKBURN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council intend to make the above Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to close Honiton Avenue, Blackburn for the following extent: From the junction of Tiverton Drive and Honiton Avenue to outside no. 3.
The closure is necessary for the following reason: INSTALL AND JOINT CABLE FOR NEW CONNECTION.
The Order will come into force on 3rd August 2026 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the work will be completed by 10th August 2026.
The alternative route for the affected traffic will be Tiverton Drive, Blackburn.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
