TEMPORARY CLOSURE 408409 SNEYD WOOD ROAD
(CINDERFORD TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 408409 Sneyd Wood Road, from outside the property known as ‘No. 31’ to outside the property known as ‘No. 37’, for a distance of approximately 25 metres. The reason for the said closure is for manhole works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400028 CHAPEL HILL (AYLBURTON PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400028 Chapel Hill, from its junction with Upper Common to its junction with Orchard Close, for a distance of

approximately 990 metres. The reason for the said closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs on 29th July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 500030 Margery Lane Road from its junction with Rookery Lane to its junction with Stowe Lane for a distance of approximately 600 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 30th July 2026 to 31st July 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The reason for the said closure is for works by Openreach.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 10th August 2026 until 17:00hrs on 12th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The said road is expected to be closed from 10th August 2026 until 18th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4231 Church Road Cycleway, outside of the property known as ‘Old Farmers Store’ for a distance of approximately 60 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for electrical pole and cable installation works.

The said public cycleway is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 12th August 2026 until 16:45hrs on 14th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the said closures is for carriageway patching works.

The said roads are expected to be closed from 21st August 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether they are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/ times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all works will be completed by 31st March 2027, but the Order may continue until the said works have been completed, for a maximum duration of 18 months.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for carriageway dressing works.

There will be no stopping or waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted on a rolling programme commencing 3rd August 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures and restrictions in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 30th November 2026.
