What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3200 PARKSIDE AVENUE, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3200 Parkside Avenue, Ipswich from Westerfield Road for 60 metres southbound to facilitate overhead cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Constable Road, Tuddenham Road, Westerfield Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 18/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A144 HALESWORTH ROAD, WENHASTON WITH MELLHAM LETT

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A144 Halesworth Road, Wenhaston with Mells Hamlet from at the level crossing for 20 metres eastbound and 20 metres westbound to facilitate level crossing renewal works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be A145, the A146, the A143, the A144 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

1.11:30pm on 18/07/2026 - 9am on 19/07/2026

2.10:30pm on 19/07/2026 - 6:30am on 20/07/2026.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C561 CHURCH ROAD, TOSTOCK

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C561 Church Road, Tostock from the junction with the A1088 for 80 metres westbound to facilitate tree maintenance. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1088 Heath Road, Norton Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/07/2026 - 24/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U2109 NEW STREET, FRAMLINGHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2109 New Street, Framlingham to facilitate repair works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Brook Lane, Mount Pleasant, Saxtead Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 29/07/2026 - 30/07/2026 from 8am to 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
