THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(PARKWAY ESTATE, CHEADLE HEATH) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has on 14 July 2026 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 which will come into operation on 1 August 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph Speed Limit Zone for the following roads in both directions for their entire lengths: Alcester Avenue, Arbury Avenue, Ashmore Avenue, Cavan Close, Corley Avenue, Coventry Avenue, Dorrington Road, Kenilworth Road, Lighthorne Avenue, Lighthorne Grove, Lighthorne Road, Melrose Avenue, Park Avenue, Park View, Parkway, Selsey Avenue.
A copy of the Order and map may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or the Road Traffic Act 1991, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
