bod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY, Neuadd y Sir, y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA ("y Cyngor") Wedi gwneud Gorchymyn yn unol â'r pwerau a roddwyd gan Adran 14(1)(a) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984:

1. Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar 23ain Gorffennaf 2026 a bydd yn parhau i fod mewn grym am gyfnod nad yw'n hwy na 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw'r cynharaf. Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith yn cael ei gwblhau rhwng 23ain Gorffennaf 2026 a’r 24ain Gorffennaf 2026, gan weithio rhwng 08:00-17:00. Bydd y gwaith yn cael ei gwblhau mewn 2 gam - mae manylion pob cam wedi'u rhestru isod.  

2. Roedd y Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol i wneud gwaith yn gosod polion mewn modd diogel yn y lleoliad.  Cedwir mynediad rhesymol i eiddo sy'n wynebu'r darnau o'r ffordd yr effeithir arnynt yn ystod y cyfnod cau.  

3. Effaith y Gorchymyn oedd:
Rhan 1 – 23 Gorffennaf 2026 yn gweithredu rhwng 08:00-17:00
II. Cau dros dro rhan o Heol Mount Pleasant, Penpergwm, Sir Fynwy, ~400m o'r gyffordd â Heol Glanffrwd am ~0.70km.  

Rhan 2 – 24 Gorffennaf 2026 yn gweithredu rhwng 08:00-17:00
II. Cau dros dro rhan o Heol Mount Pleasant, Penpergwm, Sir Fynwy, ~30m o'r gyffordd â Heol y Brenin am ~60m.  

4. Roedd llwybr dargyfeirio ar waith ar gyfer y ddau gam o'r gwaith hyn: Heol Mount Pleasant, Heol y Brenin, Heol Glanffrwd ac i'r gwrthwyneb.  

5. Gellir enwi'r Gorchymyn hwn fel Gorchymyn Rheoleiddio Traffig Dros Dro Heol Mount Pleasant, Penpergwm, Sir Fynwy 2026.  

6. Yn sgil Adran 16(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 bydd person sy'n torri cyfyngiad neu waharddiad a osodir dan Adran 14 y Ddeddf yn euog o drosedd.

SECTION 14 - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984  

MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(MOUNT PLEASANT ROAD, PENPERGWM, MONMOUTHSHIRE)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Has made an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

1. The Order came into operation on the 23rd July 2026 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed between 23rd July and 24th July 2026, operating between 08:00-17:00. The works will be completed in 2 phases, details of each phase are listed below.      

2. The order was necessary for Poling works to take place in a safe manner at the location. Reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure.  

3. The effect of the order was :
Phase 1 – 23rd July 2026 operating between 08:00-17:00
To temporarily close a section of Mount Pleasant Road, Penpergwm, Monmouthshire, ~400m from its junction with Glanffrwd Road for ~0.70km.  
Phase 2 – 24th July 2026 operating between 08:00-17:00
To temporarily close a section of Mount Pleasant Road, Penpergwm, Monmouthshire, ~30m from its junction with King Road for ~60m.  

4. A signed diversionary route will be in place for both phases of these works, the route is as follows:- Mount Pleasant Road, King Road, Glanffrwd Road and vice versa.  

5. This order may be cited as the Mount Pleasant Road, Penpergwm, Monmouthshire Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026  

6. By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
