Portsmouth City Council (White Swan Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.128) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 4th August 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
WHITE SWAN ROAD
From its junction with Exchange Road to St Michael's Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate light fixing repair works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 4th August 2026 to 5th August 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 20:00 - 05:00.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Guildhall Walk, Alec Rose Lane, Isambard Brunel Road, Winston Churchill Avenue Roundabout, Winston Churchill Avenue, Lord Montgomery Way, Hampshire Terrace, St Michaels Road, King Richard I Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
