NOTICE OF MAKING
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL(VARIOUS ROADS, CHORLEY BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND VARIOUS PARKING RESTRICTIONS (25-26 NO1A)) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 9th July 2026 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the following:
a) The "Lancashire County Council (Various Roads, Chorley, Fylde, Hyndburn, Lancaster, Pendle, Preston, Ribble Valley, Rossendale, South Ribble, West Lancashire, Wyre) (Revocations and Various Parking Restrictions 2018 September (No1)) Order 2020" insofar as it relates to Items i) and hh) of Schedule 2.
b) The "Lancashire County Council (Chorley Area) (On Street Parking Places, Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Consolidation Order 2009" insofar as it relates to Item (9) of Schedule 2.01.
2. Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Bramblewood, Croston, both sides, from its junction with the centreline of Station Road for a distance of 12 metres in an easterly direction;
b) Buckshaw Station Approach, Buckshaw Village, the east side, from its junction with the centreline of Ordnance Road for a distance of 125 metres in a southerly then easterly direction;
c) Buckshaw Station Approach, the south side, from a point 125 metres south east of its junction with the centreline of Ordnance Road for a distance of 57 metres in a westerly direction;
d) Buckshaw Station Approach, the west side, from a point 81 metres south of its junction with the centreline of Ordnance Road for a distance of 46 metres in a southerly then westerly direction;
e) Buckshaw Station Approach, the west side, from its junction with the centreline of Ordnance Road for a distance of 25 metres in a southerly direction;
f) Chorley Old Road, Whittle-le-Woods, the west side, from its junction with the centreline of Cow Well Lane for a distance of 25 metres in a southerly direction;
g) Ordnance Road, Buckshaw Village, the north side, from a point 17.5 metres west of its junction with the centreline of Buckshaw Station Approach for a distance of 108.5 metres in a westerly direction;
h) Ordnance Road, Buckshaw Village, the south side, from a point 119.5 metres east of its junction with the centreline of Buckshaw Station approach for a distance of 189.5 metres in a westerly direction;
i) Station Road, Croston, the east side, from a point 13 metres north of its junction with the centreline of Bramblewood for a distance of 26.5 metres in a southerly direction.

This Order will come into force on the 24th July 2026. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Chorley Borough Council, Town Hall, Market Street, Chorley, PR7 1DP, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
