Westmorland & Furness - Multiple Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C5008 DUDDON BRIDGE, U5216 BOUTH AND THE U5101 BROUGHTON BECK) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;

(i) C5008 Duddon Bridge, from its junction with the U5038, extending in a north easterly then north westerly direction to its junction with the C4028.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C5088, A593, A595, Silecroft Lane, Stella Brow and the C4028.

Duration: From 5th August 2026 for approx. 8 days (Ref. TTROW/19632)

(ii) U5216 Bouth, from its junction with the C5024, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 2.3 km.

Alternative Route: via the U5203, U5215, U5214, C5022, C5023 and the C5024.

Duration: From 27th August 2026 for approx. 8 days (Ref. TTROW/19659)

(iii) U5101 Broughton Beck, from a point approx. 210 metres north east of its junction with the U5102, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 65 metres.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U5101, U5100, C5018 and the B5281.

Duration: From 31st August 2026 for approx. 3 days (Ref. TTROW/19686)

The Order will come into operation on 5th August 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
