(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blackpool Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to carry out carriageway resurfacing and reconstruction. The effect of the Order will be to:
(a) Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of Bloomfield Rd between its junction with Ansdell Road and its junction with Park Road.
(b) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Road from its junction with Rose Avenue
(c) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Road from its junction with Grasmere Road
(d) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Road from its junction with Hartford Avenue
(e) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Road from its junction with Marina Avenue
(f) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Avenue from its junction with Arkholme Avenue
(g) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Avenue from its junction with Finsbury Avenue
(h) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Avenue from its junction with Boardman Avenue
(i) No left of right turn onto Bloomfield Avenue from its junctions with Cunliffe Road.
(j) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Avenue from its junction with the unnamed alleyway between Finsbury Avenue and Cunliffe Road
(k) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Avenue from its junction with the unnamed gated alleyway between Cunliffe Road and Boardman Avenue (l) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Avenue from its junction with the unnamed gated alleyway between Cunliffe Road and Hartford Avenue Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access to be maintained wherever possible. All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.
The proposed Order will commence on 11 August 2026 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 11 days.
