CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL WILSDEN PRIMARY SCHOOL (TWEEDY STREET, BRADFORD) SCHOOL STREET TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council made the above Order on 3 March 2026 under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to reproduce and continue indefinitely the provisions of the “City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council Wilsden Primary School (Tweedy Street, Bradford) School Streets Traffic Regulation Order 2024” an experimental traffic regulation order that came into operation on 12 September 2024.
The Order prohibits the driving of motor vehicles (other than as excepted therein) on the full lengths of Tweedy Street and Village Mews in Wilsden between ‘8.15am – 9.00am’ and ‘2.30pm – 3.30pm’, Monday to Friday (Excluding Bank Holidays and Public Holidays in England) from 1st September to 31st July.
The Order comes into operation on the 11 March 2026 and a copy of it together with documents showing more detailed particulars may be examined: during normal office hours at the Customer Services Reception, Ground Floor, City Hall, Bradford, BD1 1HY; or on the Council’s website at https://www.bradford.gov.uk/transport-and-travel/highways/traffic-regulation-order/; or obtained from Shahid Aziz, Engineer - Traffic & Road Safety South - Planning, Transportation & Highways at Shahid.Aziz@bradford.gov.uk quoting reference number HS/TRSS/105925/SA.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it, have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made apply to the High Court for this purpose.
