LAURENCEKIRK – TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (Market Road, Laurencekirk - 22.07.26) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2026” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984. The order will operate from 22.07.26 for 28 days and will prohibit any person from driving on Market Road, Laurencekirk from Blackiemuir Avenue to Adamson Drive. Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety during gas main replacement works. An alternative route for traffic is available via the Market Road – Station Road – Conveth Place – High Street – Blackiemuir Avenue and vice versa.
