What is happening?
The County Council of Durham (Northside Buildings, Trimdon Grange) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
The Council on 15/7/2026 made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following length of road. A 50 metre length to the rear of No. 35-38 and No. 39-44 Northside Buildings, Trimdon Grange to enable electric fuse upgrade works to be undertaken. Throughout the period of the closure, a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic on Northside Terrace. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The works commenced under 5-day Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice on 13/7/2026 and works now require extending from 8am on 18/7/2026 for approximately 5 days. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
