The East Sussex (U2131 Station Street, Eastbourne)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Station Street – for its entire length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U2131 Mark Lane – A259 Gildredge Road.
The Order commences 17 July 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 17 July 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C40 Jevington Road, Willingdon/Wannock/Jevington)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 No.2
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Jevington Road – from the junction with C40 Wannock Road to the junction with P8062 Green Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C40 Wannock Road – A2270 Eastbourne Road, Willingdon Road, Crossways roundabout, Willingdon Road, Upperton Road – A259 The Goffs, High Street, Church Street, East Dean Road, Eastbourne Road, Friston Hill – C40 Jevington Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 20 July 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 20 July 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2136 Langney Road, Eastbourne)
(Temporary Parking Restrictions) Order 2026
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out temporary parking restrictions, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which continues temporarily to impose restrictions in the following length of road:
Temporary Restrictions
Langney Road – from the junction with A259 Susans Road to the junction with the U2134 Terminus Road.
Parking for Taxis, Blue Badge holders and 20 minutes unloading in designated areas will be permitted. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 21 July 2026 and is made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice dated 9 June 2026 and a Temporary Successive Notice dated 30 June 2026 under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated the restrictions will be in place between 21 July 2026 and 20 January 2028 depending upon the weather conditions.
