The Council intends to make an order, operative from 3 August 2026 for 3 weeks approx, the effect of which will be to implement a one-way traffic restriction on Chapeltown Road from Darwen Rd to Bromley Cross Rd (permitted direction southbound) to allow gas works to take place. Northbound diversion route will be signed. The Order will end after 18 months or on completion of the works whichever first occurs.
