DOUNE TERRACE, COATBRIDGE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
On 13 July 2026 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on underground service alteration on behalf of SGN) on Doune Terrace, Coatbridge from Townhead Road to Doune Terrace by reason of works being executed on or near that location.
Alternative routes: Westbound travel via Townhead Road and Doune Terrace Eastbound travel via Townhead Road, Lomond Road, Lomond Service Road and Doune Terrace.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
Vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 27 July 2026 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Friday, 7 August 2026.
