(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN WATFORD) ORDER NO.4 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access: -
1. that length of Romilly Drive, Watford from its junction with Harrow Way north eastwards and south eastwards to its northmost junction with Oulton Way, a distance of approximately 220m.
An alternative route will be via Harrow Way, Little Oxhey Lane and Romilly Drive.
2. that length of Gade Avenue, Watford from its junction with A412 Rickmansworth Road north westwards, north eastwards, northwards and north eastwards to its junction with Cassiobury Park Avenue, a distance of approximately 654m.
An alternative route will be via A412 Rickmansworth Road and Cassiobury Park Avenue.
3. that length of Orchard Close, Watford from its junction with The Gardens south eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 9 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LANGLEY ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Langley Road, Watford from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.100 Langley Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 99m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Langley Road, A412 St Albans Road, A411 Hempstead Road and Langley Road or via Langley Road, A411 (Hempstead Road/Hyde Road/The Avenue), A412 St Albans Road and Langley Road.
The Order is needed because water connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 5 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ABBOTS LANGLEY PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.074) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Abbots Langley Public Footpath No.074 from its junction with Gallows Hill north eastwards to its junction with Rosehill Gardens, a distance of approximately 104m (“the Public Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Gallows Hill, the footway situated on the north east side of Hamilton Road, the footway situated on the north east side of Hazelwood Road and the footway situated on the south west side of Rosehill Gardens.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.
The Order will come into effect from 3 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Harthall Lane, Kings Langley from its junction with Railway Terrace north eastwards for a distance of approximately 111m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Railway Terrace, Hyde Lane, Bedmond Road and Harthall Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 4 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sandy Lane, Northwood from a point 150m south east of its junction with A4125 Watford Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because electrical works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 6 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access: -
1. that length of Langleybury Lane, Langleybury from its junction with Old House Lane south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Grove Mill Lane, a distance of approximately 1127m.
An alternative route will be via Old House Lane, Bucks Hill, Toms Hill, Chandlers Lane, Redhall Lane and Fir Tree Hill.
2. that length of Bourne End Road, Northwood from its junction with Westbury Road south eastwards to its junction with Batchworth Lane, a distance of approximately 430m.
An alternative route will be via Westbury Road, A4125 Sandy Lane and Batchworth Lane.
3. that length of Gallows Hill, Abbots Langley from its junction with Gallows Hill Lane south eastwards to its junction with Hamilton Road, a distance of approximately 476m.
An alternative route will be via Gallows Hill Lane, High Street, Tibbs Hill Road, Langley Lane, South Way, Hunton Bridge Hill and Hamilton Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 24 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DAWES LANE, SARRATT) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Dawes Lane, Sarratt from its junction with Moor Lane north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with The Green, a distance of approximately 1219m (“the Road”), except for access.
