(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, WAITING, LOADINGAND UNLOADING) ORDER 2026 (BS26-217)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Retford in the District of Bassetlaw.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Nene Walk, Worksop - From its junction with Valley Road to its junction with Sheaf Place.
b. Sheaf Place, Worksop - For its entire length
c. Rufford Street, Worksop - From its junction with Spur Crescent for a distance of 100 metres in a Easterly Direction.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (Both Sides) (08:00 to 15:30) in the following length of road
a. Nene Walk, Worksop - From its junction with Valley Road to its junction with Sheaf Place.
b. Sheaf Place, Worksop - For its entire length
c. Rufford Street, Worksop - From its junction with Spur Crescent for a distance of 100 metres in a Easterly Direction.
1. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
2. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours Wednesday 5th August 2026
Until 15:30 hours Tuesday 25th August 2026
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Rufford Road Diversion will be - Spur Crescent - Kingston Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on Wednesday 5th August 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable VIA EM on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Carriageway out large scale patching.
