THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (MAYFIELD GROVE, SOUTH REDDISH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Mayfield Grove, South Reddish, Stockport SK5 7HR, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Order is necessary to allow works to excavate a joint bay in the footway and associated cable installation works to take place. It is estimated these works will last 15 days. A diversion will be provided via Reddish Road, Bryn Drive and vice versa. This Notice does not apply to any vehicle on any occasion when it is being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes. Local access will also be maintained. This Order is to come into operation on 18 August 2026 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
