THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (FOOTWAY REAR OF 1 - 7 LISKEARD DRIVE, BRAMHALL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Closure of the footway to the rear of nos.1-7 Liskeard Drive, Bramhall, and around the pond, from Liskeard Drive to the passageway to the rear of Liskeard Drive, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said footway.
This Order is necessary to allow for works to excavate a joint bay in the footway and associated cable installations works to take place. It is estimated these works will last 7 working days. A diversion will be provided via Liskeard Drive, the passageway to the rear of Liskeard Drive, the footway to the rear of nos. 1-17 Liskeard Drive and around the pond, Liskeard Drive, and vice versa. This Order is to come into operation on 4 August 2026 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
