What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

RED LANE, BURTON GREEN, NR KENILWORTH

Order Effect: The 30-mph speed restriction imposed on Red Lane, Burton Green from 123 metres south-east of its junction with Cromwell Lane, south-easterly for 150 metres will be revoked.

Reason for Order: The reduced speed restriction is no longer necessary.

Revocation of Order effective: 17 July 2026.

CHESFORD CRESCENT, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Water pipe renewal works.

Order Commences: 21 July 2026 for up to 18 months.

Access & Diversion: Whitemoor Road, Spring Lane, Albion Street and vice versa.

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works to lay new ducting in the carriageway.

Order Commences: 5 August 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 7 August 2026.

Access & Diversion: No diversion available.

OLD WARWICK ROAD, ROWINGTON

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works to replace a decayed telegraph pole.

Order Commences: 6 August 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 6 August 2026.

Access & Diversion: Old Warwick Road, Stratford Road, Aylesbury Road, Grange Road, Station Road, Warwick Road, Birmingham Road, Hockley Road and vice versa.

Access & Diversion: Rouncil Lane, Dirty Lane, School Lane, Haseley Knob Road, Honiley Road, Meer End Road, Kenilworth Road Gambles Island, Kenilworth Road, Birmingham Road, Clinton Lane, Castle Road, Forrest Road, Borrowell Lane, Barrowfield Lane, Greville Road, Siddeley Avenue, Fishponds Road, John O’gaunt Road, Rounds Hill and vice versa.

CHURCH LANE, CUBBINGTON

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To safely enable works to locate and clear blockages.

Order Commences: 3 August 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 7 August 2026.

Access & Diversion: High Street, Queen Street, Windmill Hill, Rugby Road and vice versa.

BURNTHURST LANE, PRINCETHORPE

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable telegraph pole replacement works.

Order Commences: 6 August 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 6 August 2026.

Access & Diversion: Burnthurst Lane, Oxford Road, Leamington Road and vice versa.

A445 LILLINGTON ROAD, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from Sandy Lane to Cubbington Road.

Reason for Order: Carriageway resurfacing and associated works, 09.30hrs - 15.30hrs weekdays only.

Order Commences: 3 August 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 17 August 2026.

Access & Diversion: A445 (Lillington Road, Lillington Avenue), A452 Kenilworth Road, B4113 Stoneleigh Road, Westhill Road, A445 Leicester Lane and vice versa.

Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 01926 245 650.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
